PAYMENT DETAILS.

Payment can only be made with Paypal and has to be paid at least 1 week before the event.  We will accept cash but again this has to be paid in full before the event. The reason behind this is that we have been running our LAN Parties for nearly 9 years and have been let down by too many people who promise to come but never arrive at the event.  If you pay and don't turn up then you forfeit your money which will help cover the overheads.  However, if you let us know at least 3 days before the event that you can't make it we will issue a full refund minus any paypal fee's.

The cost of the event is now 31.50  We have put the price up to allow us to get better trophies, allow all attendees to be entered into the prize draw and to cover the hire of the Internet for the weekend.

WHAT DO I NEED TO PACK?

When you pack, ensure you have packed everything.  Common things people forget are as follows:-

  • 3+ gang electrical extension lead (3x240V socket extension)  You will get a single socket to plug in, if you forget to bring your adapters then you will not be able to plug in your PC and Monitor etc.
  • Power Leads - It really is amazing how many people forget them.
  • Mouse and keyboard.....yes it has happened.
  • Your OS DVD (and Key) - If your system throws a fit you can re-install.
  • Your PC and Monitor....Doh!
  • Wash Kit - yes, it gets a bit smelly if you don't wash for  the weekend.  There are showers available.
  • Cash for beer and scoff.

TOURNAMENT LIST

No tournament List made up yet

Please ensure that all games are installed and patched prior to arrival and if not prior to the tournament scheduled time.  If you are not installed and patched by this time you will miss the tournament as we will not be kept waiting for people who haven't been arsed to sort their shit out in time.......you have been warned.

Fingers crossed that we will have a fully operational Internet connection at our venue again this time.  However, just to be on the safe side you will need to test your offline "STEAM" connection before you disconnect and pack your kit away.  Make sure all your games are upto date before carrying out the following.  Exit steam but DO NOT LOG OUT.  Remove your network cable from your pc and then start steam again.  Once it has started try and start each game you intend to play.  If you can start and get into a game you set up then your good to go.  If not you need to look in your steam directory and delete the file called clientregistry.blob.  After this plug your network cable back  into your pc, log onto steam and then let it update.  After this exit steam once more and then remove your cable yet again.  Start steam in "OFFLINE MODE" and try your games out again.  You should now be able to access your games  and be ready for our lan.

Of course we will play any game that is network playable so please ask if you wish to play something different.
